1. Access and use of the site
You may browse the site and use its features for lawful personal shopping. You agree to provide accurate information when you place an order and to keep any account login confidential. Tell us if you believe your account has been used without permission. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the site, other customers or the law, without affecting an existing purchase or your legal rights.
You must not attempt unauthorised access, disrupt site security, submit malicious code, use the site for fraudulent transactions or misuse another person's information. You must not copy site content for commercial use without the relevant owner's permission.
2. Products and presentation
We aim to present product descriptions, materials, sizes, availability and prices clearly. Please read the individual product page and any size guidance before buying. Colours and proportions can appear different on different screens; any material feature will be described in the listing. We may correct an error and contact you if it affects an order. We do not substitute a different item without your agreement.
3. Prices, stock and orders
Prices and the available variants are shown on product pages and checked again at checkout. UK standard shipping is free. The final currency, applicable taxes and any charges are shown before payment. Adding an item to a basket does not reserve stock. When you submit an order, you offer to buy it; an acknowledgement of that order is not itself acceptance. The Terms of Sale explain when we accept an order and what happens if an item becomes unavailable or a material error is found. Promotional offers apply only on their stated terms and do not affect statutory rights.
4. Payment and account security
Payment options available for your order are presented at checkout. We use Shopify and payment providers to handle transactions; see Payment Methods. Do not send card numbers or passwords by email. We may take reasonable steps to verify a transaction and will explain if we cannot process it. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the delivery and contact information that you provide, while we remain responsible for our legal obligations as the seller.
5. Delivery, risk and ownership
We arrange delivery under our Shipping Policy. Our standard estimate is 6–10 business days in total, subject to the stated cut-off, processing and transit arrangements. We remain responsible for loss or damage until you or someone you nominate takes physical possession of the goods, subject to applicable law. Ownership passes when the goods have been paid for and delivered.
6. Cancellation, returns and faulty goods
You generally have 14 days after delivery to tell us you are cancelling an eligible online purchase without giving a reason, followed by 14 days to send it back. Our Return & Refund Policy explains how to notify us, return postage, refunds, any lawful exception and the separate rights that apply to faulty or misdescribed goods. Nothing in these terms removes a remedy available under UK consumer law.
7. Website content and intellectual property
The Whitmore Lane name, site design, copy, product photography and other content belong to us or the relevant rights holders. You may view and make ordinary personal use of the site while shopping. Any broader reproduction, resale or commercial reuse requires the relevant owner's permission. Your legal rights to refer to the site or product information are unaffected.
8. Third-party services and links
Shopify provides the commerce platform. Payment methods, carriers and links to external websites may be provided by other organisations. Their terms and privacy notices may apply when you use their own services or leave our site. We remain responsible for our obligations under your purchase contract; use of a carrier or platform does not transfer those obligations to you.
9. Corrections and availability
We try to keep the website accurate and available, but an item, price or feature may occasionally be out of date or the site temporarily unavailable. We may correct a clear error or update a listing. If a material error affects an order we have not accepted, we will contact you rather than charge a different price without agreement. If an accepted order cannot be fulfilled, we will notify you and provide the remedy required by law.
10. Liability and consumer protections
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Temporary website issues do not alter our duties concerning an order already accepted.

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. We may revise these website terms and show the updated date at the top. A later revision will not retrospectively replace the terms that applied when an order was placed, unless you expressly agree or the law requires it.
12. Applicable law
These terms do not prevent you from relying on mandatory consumer protections in the part of the United Kingdom where you live or from bringing a claim in a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
